Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can swivel/tilt on a ball-and-socket/hinge neck joint.
  • The torso can tilt frontwards/backwards.
  • Shoulder joints can pull out and swing frontwards or raise upwards.
  • The arms can swing and/or raise horizontally on an integrated shoulder frame.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • Arms and Legs feature double-jointed elbow/knee parts.
  • The manipulators...
    • Can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
    • Feature 3+1+1 articulation on the poseable fingers.
  • The waist can rotate 360 degrees.
  • Front, side, and rear skirt armors can lift up to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
  • The hip joint axis can tilt forward. (This position can be locked with the front crotch piece.)
  • The upper thighs can swing on a peg-and-socket joint, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each piece.
  • The ankle joints can pivot, or tilt sideways in some extent.
  • Each of the wing parts are jointed, allowing some articulation.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • The cockpit panel can slide forward.
  • The hands are swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
  • The wings can be deployed into HiMAT mode.
  • Beam Cannons can flip out from the wings (either standby or HiMAT mode) to form firing mode.
  • Railguns can convert into attack mode.
    • The handles can be flipped out for the hands to wield.
  • Beam Saber handles can be optionally removed from the waist armor/railguns as handheld weapons.
    • The weapons can combine to form a double-bladed Beam Saber.
  • Beam Rifle's foregrip can swivel left or right.
    • Beam Rifle can mount onto the rear waist armor for storage.
  • The shield's grip can optionally flip out for the left hand to hold.
  • Freedom Gundam can mount onto the Action Base (sold separately) via an adapter.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some of the details are needed to be panel-lined with Gundam markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied decals. (Water-based topcoat is recommended due to the kit having PP parts)
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.
