Tips & Tricks[]
- For better results, some of the details are needed to be applied with Gundam Markers or Mr. Color paints.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied decals and if any, painted details.
- If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
- Exercise caution while handling the V-fins, especially the white-colored ones, as the thinness of the piece can snap off if not handled carefully.
- The Railgun from the RG ZGMF-56E2/γ Blast Impulse Gundam Spec II can be used on this Gunpla.
- The M.E.T.E.O.R. Unit from the HG METEOR Unit + Freedom Gundam or the Premium Bandai exclusive HG kit can be used on this Gunpla.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The only newly-molded parts are the C-like shape details on the shoulder armor, where it was molded on the same color as the front-end of the shoulder armor's vents,
- Unlike the previously-released recolored Gunplas for the Bandai Hobby Online Shop, The RG Force Impulse Spec II Gunpla is sold as a regular retail item. It seems to be released in conjunction with the movie and is likely meant to fill the lineup's numbering as the 39th kit of the line, following the RG RX-78-2 Gundam (Ver. 2.0) kit, which is the 40th kit of the lineup.
- Due to....
- The transformation scheme, it's not possible to keep the Core Splendor docked on the Chest Flyer.
- How the bottom thruster's panels are molded, it's impossible to properly straighten them if one intends to face them backwards with the middle wings facing in a sharp horizontal position. This can be somewhat amended by adjusting the panels in a slightly angled position, and leaving a small gap between the rear end of the upper wings and the panel that connects the middle wings, so the panels can be properly straightened. Take note that this method can also create balancing problems (again, due to the lower section of the bottom thruster panels) if one puts the Force Silhouette on a flat surface.
- Though the kit...
- Depicts the unit retaining its docking feature as seen in the stock renders/photos and later mentioned in the instructions' data, the film shows the Mobile Suit as a completely combined form in the third act.
- Uses the same Beam Rifle from the original mold, the unit carries the same railgun rifle used by the Gelgoog Menace.
- While the data on the instructions mentioned that the Impulse Gundam Spec II is a secretly modified Impulse Gundam by Erica Simmons via Cagalli's request, the said data made no reference to Lunamaria Hawke, its main pilot.
- While the Gunpla can dock with the HGGS M.E.T.E.O.R. kit, the wings can only slightly raise upwards while in its flat horizontal position, though it cannot swivel back in a vertical arrangement like the Blu-Ray/Special Edited release of the movie.
