Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can swivel on a double-sided ball-joint neck.
  • The torso can tilt back and forth, or sideways in a limited manner.
  • The shoulder joints can tilt upwards or swing frontwards.
    • 2/3 of the torso blocks can tilt frontwards along with the shoulder joints.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a rod joint.
    • raise horizontally.
  • The shoulder armors can raise up to avoid interference with the arm articulation.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • The elbow and knees are double-jointed.
    • The elbow joints can be pulled down to widen the articulation range.
  • The front end of the forearms can swivel.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The waist can only rotate 45 degrees.
  • Front skirt armors, sideway and rear DRAGOON pods can pivot/flip up to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
  • Each of the hip joint axis piece can extend for a wider articulation.
  • The upper thighs can swing frontwards/backwards on a peg, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each piece.
  • The ankle joints can pivot and/or tilt sideways.
  • The front toes can pivot.
  • DRAGOON Backpack can tilt back and forth by extending its arm unit.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • The finger parts can be swapped.
  • Any of the weapons can be wielded by the hands, though it depends on which finger digits you're using.
  • Beam Rifle's foregrip can swing left or right.
  • Left and right DRAGOON Backpack thrusters can flip up to reveal additional sub-thrusters.
  • The Small DRAGOON Pods' waist and backpack joints can tilt up and down/forward and backward.
  • DRAGOON Pods can be optionally removed from the backpack and waist sections.
    • DRAGOON Pods can also be displayed with the firing effect parts.
  • Composite Armed Shield System can attach on/remove from the left arm.
  • Providence Gundam can attach onto the Display Stand via an adapter.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied & panel-lined with Gundam Markers/Mr. Color Paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers/marking decals and if any, painted details.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
  • The DRAGOON Display Effect for MG Providence Gundam can be used for this kit.
  • If one chooses, the surplus opaque forehead sensor piece can replace the original translucent piece.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • This Gunpla is the first MG iteration of the Providence Gundam kit.
  • Unlike the MG Freedom Gundam (Ver. 2.0) and the Justice Gundam, the Providence Gundam's hip joint axis has no reports of breaking.
