The Master Grade (MG) GN-002 Gundam Dynames (Trans-Am Mode) (Metallic gloss Injection) is a 1/100 scale kit released in 2019.

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can rotate on a ball-joint, and/or pivot downwards/upwards on a c-clip joint.
  • The upper torso can pivot back and forth/tilt left or right.
    • 2/3 of the torso blocks can slide along with the shoulder articulation.
  • Shoulder joints can...
    • Pull out and raise upwards.
    • Swing frontwards.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a rod joint.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper elbows can rotate.
  • The elbows and knees are double-jointed.
  • The abdomen is double-jointed so Dynames can recreate the "laying down" position.
  • The waist can rotate 360 degrees.
  • Front, Side, and rear skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
  • The hip joint axis can swing up and down.
  • The upper thigh joints can...
    • Raise horizontally.
    • Rotate on each thigh.
  • Ankle joints can pivot back and forth/tilt left or right.
  • The toes on each foot are poseable.
  • Clavicle antennas can flip up and down on each piece.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • Dynames can be built into either normal or GN Full Shield forms.
  • The finger parts can be swapped.
  • Any of the weapons can be wielded by the hands, though it depends on which finger digits you're using.
  • Cockpit hatch can be optionally opened to reveal pilot figurine.
  • GN Drive can be optionally removed from Dynames.
    • GN Drive can light up with a green LED unit. (sold separately)
  • Dynames' Camera Eye/V-Fin can pivot up or down to form Sniping mode.
  • In GN Full Shield mode:
    • The front large shields feature a 3-piece articulation for sniping poses.
    • The shields can be rearranged into three different positions: frontwards, side, and backwards position.
  • Rear hip boosters are poseable.
    • The yellow vernier's center base can be pulled out.
    • The GN Beam Saber hilts can be flipped out, and they can be optionally removed from the boosters as handheld weapons.
  • Front skirt and knee armors can be opened to reveal GN Missiles.
  • GN Sniper Rifle can be stored onto either the shield joints or the right Full Shield piece.
  • GN Sniper Rifle's foregrip can pivot up and down.
    • It's Bipod stands can be swing down as well.
      • Bipod can mount with the extension pieces.
  • The GN Beam Pistols + Holsters can mount onto Dynames' legs.
    • GN Beam Pistols can also be removed from the holsters as handheld weapons.
      • Energy caps can be optionally removed as well.
  • Gundam Dynames can mount onto the Action Base via an included adapter.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied & panel-lined with Gundam Markers/Mr. Color Paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers/marking decals and if any, painted details.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • The Gunpla's coloration is based on the Trans-Am feature Dynames (while mounted with the GN Arms (Type D)) used in the first "Special Edition" compilation movie.
