Tips & Tricks

  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.

Customizing-based tips

  • The add-on weapons from the Gundam ACE Magazine exclusive Compatible Weapon Sets A and B can be used for this Gunpla.
  • The extra clawed open-palm, angled Beam saber-holding hands, and the fist parts from the HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam (PR ambassador of the Japan Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai) can be used on this Gunpla.

Notes & Trivia

  • For starters, this is the most articulated HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam possible (at the time of its release).
  • The Gunpla shares the same price with the first HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam.
  • Unlike the HG Ver.G30th kit, this Gunpla does not include the Gundam Hammer, but the accessory can be purchased in the "Gundam Hammer & Original Weapons" set, which was released as a freebie for the extra publication edition of the September 2015 issue of Gunpla ACE Magazine.[1]
  • This Gunpla also does not include the Beam Javelin, but the accessory can be purchased in the "Beam Javelin & Original Weapons" set, which was released as a freebie for the extra publication edition of the September 2015 issue of Gundam ACE Magazine.[1]
  • Unlike the first 2 HG Gundam kits, & like the HG G30th kit, this Gunpla does not include a non-transformable Core Fighter.
  • One of the initial prototype photos (pictured on the right) depicts the elbow joints being able to bend even further, although the final product is unable to do such feat. The knee joints' articulation engineering is slightly different as well.
