The High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode Lumious Crystal Body) is a 1/144 scale kit released in 2018 as The Gundam Base shop exclusive.

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

  • Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) can be built into either normal Awakened mode or with Crystalized parts.

Articulation[]

  • The head can pivot up/down on a hinge and swivel on a ball-joint neck.
  • The shoulder joints can slightly raise upwards and/or slightly swing forwards/backwards.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • Both elbow and knee joints can be bent up to 90 degrees.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joints.
  • Front and side skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
  • The waist can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint construction.
  • The hip joint axis can swing frontwards/backwards on one side.
  • The upper thighs are swivel on a ball-and-socket joint construction, though the backwards articulation is limited due to the non-poseable rear skirt armors.
  • The ankles can slightly tilt forwards/backwards, or sideways.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • Crystalized parts feature a glow-in-the-dark gimmick.
  • The hands are swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their own respective hands.
  • The Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the backpack as handheld weapons. (Beam Effect parts sold separately.)
  • Beam Magnum can mount onto either both sides of the arms or onto the backpack via a flip-out tab.
  • Beam Magnum Magazine can be stored onto the rear waist armor.
  • The shield can be mounted onto the backpack via an adapter (A18).
  • Unicorn Gundam can mount onto the included Action Base 5.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, it's best left the kit unpainted.
    • For those who prefer to panel line the kit, use a green fine-tip Marker. 
  • The Hyper Bazooka, Beam Saber effect parts and the open hands from the HGUC RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn Mode) (repaint required), the Gundam UC ACE Vol.6 exclusive Hyper Beam Javelin, the Hyper Beam Javelin from the System Weapon 007 can be used on this Gunpla.
  • Care must be taken while separating the hand parts: Due to its slightly tight construction, the pin that connects the thumb section can potentially snap off if you separate it with excessive force.

B-Club related customizations[]

  • High Detail Manipulator 200 can be used for this kit. (repaint required)
