Kit Features & Gimmicks[]
Articulation[]
- The head can rotate/tilt on a peg-shaped/ball-and-socket joint neck.
- The Mono-eye is poseable. (removal of the upper head piece is required)
- Shoulder joints ca swing frontwards/tilt upwards, though slightly.
- The arms can...
- Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
- Raise horizontally. (the shoulder armors can pivot to avoid interference.)
- The upper arms can rotate.
- Elbow joints can only be bent up to 90 degrees.
- The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- The waist can turn 360 degrees.
- The hip joint axis can swing forward/backward on one side.
- The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- Side skirt armors can be slightly pulled out for articulation, while avoiding any possible hindrance for the leg articulation.
- The legs feature double-jointed knee parts.
- The ankles joints can tilt/pivot.
Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]
- The hands are swappable.
- Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
- Twin Beam Sword handle can be stored onto either Gelgoog's back port or Shield via a c-clip adapter.
- Shield's joint can be flipped out to mount on the forearm or onto the back port.
- The back piece can be removed to reveal the mounting point for the Backpack/Cannon combo.
- Gelgoog can mount onto any Action Bases (sold separately), though you need to use the flat square-type adapter to do so.
Tips & Tricks[]
- For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied/panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
- The Backpack/Cannon combo, missile launcher & Buckler Shield from the HGUC Gelgoog/Gelgoog Cannon can be mounted on this kit.

- Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo. Current reprints also changes the ABS material into KPS plastic.

Notes & Trivia[]
- As with the first Master Grade kit, the Gelgoog's Twin Beam Blade effect is depicted in yellow as seen in the third Mobile Suit Gundam trilogy film instead of the TV Series' blue.
- Some copies come with two identical sticker sheets.
- To date, this Gunpla has yet to be redecoed into "The Blue Team" version of the unit from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.
