The High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) GM/GM II/GM III Set is a 1/144 scale 3-pack kit released in 2023, as an exclusive for The Gundam Base.

Articulation[]

GM[]

  • The head can swivel on a single ball-joint neck.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • Elbow and knee joints can only be bent up to 90 degrees.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • Torso can pivot from left or right if slightly pulled up.
  • The waist can turn 360 degrees.
  • The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, though in an extent due to the limited skirt armor motion.
    • Front and side skirt armors can slightly pivot to avoid interference.
  • The ankles can tilt back and forth in a limited manner.

  • The head can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The shoulder joints can slightly swing frontward.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

GM[]

  • The hands are swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their own respective hand parts.
  • The Shield can attach onto the backpack.
  • Beam Saber hilt can be removed of one prefers to display the GM with an activated Beam Saber.

GM II[]

  • The right hand is swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
  • The beam saber hilt can be optionally removed from the backpack as a handheld weapon.
  • The shield can mount onto any forearms with an L-shaped adapter, though the default position is on the left.
  • GM II can mount onto any Action Bases. (Sold separately)

GM III[]

  • The hands are swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
  • The Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the backpack as handheld weapons.
  • Beam Rifle's grip can pivot.
  • Medium and Large Missile Pods can be optionally removed from the GM III.
  • Medium Missile pods' hatches can be swapped with either normal or firing mode pieces.
  • The shield can mount onto any forearms via an adapter, though the default position is on the left.
  • GM III can...
    • Use the shield from the HGUC Jegan (ECOAS Type). (Sold separately.)
    • Mount onto any Action Bases. (Sold separately)

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied with Gundam Markers or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Aside from the new addition of the waterslide decals, the GM kits feature an addtional show-accurate mint/greenish tint on the white plastic parts.
