Bandit Flower Ver.

The "Bandit Flower" Version of the High Grade Gundam Thunderbolt (HGGT) RX-78AL Atlas Gundam (Gundam Thunderbolt Ver.) is a 1/144 scale kit released in 2018, as a Bandai Hobby Online Shop exclusive.

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can swivel/tilt on a ball-and-socket/triple-jointed neck.
  • The torso can tilt frontwards/backwards in an extent.
  • The shoulder joints can raise upwards.
  • The arms can...
    • Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • Both the elbow and knees are double-jointed.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The waist can rotate 360 degrees.
  • The hip joint axis can swing down.
  • The front skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference with the frontwards leg articulation.
  • The upper thighs can swing frontwards (or backwards in a limited extent) on a peg, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each piece.
  • The ankles can pivot/tilt.
  • The sub-arms are poseable.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • The hands are swappable.
  • Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
  • Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the shoulder armors as handheld weapons.
  • The Blade Shield can only mount onto the left forearm.
  • Sub-Legs can be folded with the Atlas Gundam to form Flight Mode or Submarine Mode.
  • Atlas Gundam or the Blade Shield (in Submarine Mode) can mount onto the Action Base via an adapter.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied/panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Apart from the color changes like the slightly darkened gray & yellow parts, this kit features a new Animation-accurate railgun accessory.
  • The beam saber effect parts also uses a slightly sparkly finish.
