HGGTO RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom (with E-2 Beam Spray Gun)

As for international customers, one can either purchase from Hobby Shops depending on the seller (take note that they can be a bit costly unlike the ones sold at the website), or directly from the online shop with shipping & handling.

The High Grade Gundam The Origin (HGGTO) RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom (with E-2 Beam Spray Gun) is a 1/144 scale kit released in 2020, as a Bandai Hobby Online Shop exclusive.

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

The head can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, or pivot on a hinge neck joint.
The torso can only tilt frontwards.
- Front stomach armor can also flip up to avoid interference.
Shoulder joints can tilt upwards and/or frontwards.
The arms can...
- Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- Raise horizontally. (The grey-colored intake can pivot to provide clearance for the arm's articulation.)
The upper arms can rotate.
Arms and Legs feature double-jointed elbow/knee parts.
The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
The waist can rotate on a ball-and-socket joint.
The hip joint axis can swing forwards (for extra articulation) and backwards.
The upper thigh joints can swing frontwards (and backwards in a limited extent) on a peg-and-socket joint, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each thigh.
- Front and side skirt armors can lift up to provide clearance for the leg articulation.
The ankles can tilt forward, or swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

The visor can be flipped down.
The right hand is swappable.
Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
E-2 Beam Spray Guns can be optionally removed from the waist armors as handheld weapons. (NOTE: only the right trigger hand can wield the weapon.)
Beam Dagger crossguards can be optionally removed from the forearms, and attach with the small handles to form the Gunpla's handheld weapons.
Guardian Shield can be wielded by either of the multipurpose weapon-holding hands, though the default position is on the left.
GM Guard Custom can mount onto any Action Bases. (sold separately)

Tips & Tricks[]

For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be painted and panel-lined with Gundam markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers/marking decals and if any, painted details.
- If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Customizing-based tips[]

If one chooses, the left trigger-finger hand from the HGGTO RX-78-02 Gundam can be used on this kit if one want to display the GM Guard Custom holding 2 E-2 Beam Spray Guns. (repaint required)
