The High Grade Gundam 00 (HG00) GN-007 Arios Gundam is a 1/144 scale kit released in 2008.

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can swivel on a double-sided ball-and-socket joint.
  • The torso can slightly tilt back.
  • Due to being used with transformation, the joint that holds the shoulders can swing left or right, or further raise upwards.
  • The arms can...
    • Swivel on an upwards ball-and-socket joint.
    • Raise horizontally on the shoulder armors.
      • The shoulder binder/claws can lift upwards to provide clearance.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • The elbow joints can only be bent up to 120 degrees.
  • The wrist joints can pivot.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The waist can rotate to an extent.
  • The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, or raise horizontally on each piece.
    • The front skirt armors can lift up to provide some clearance.
  • The knees are double-jointed.
  • The ankles can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • Due to being used with transformation, the front feet can pivot back.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • The left hand is swappable.
  • Any of the weapons can be wielded by the default hand parts.
  • Arios Gundam can convert into Mobile Armor mode and back via minor parts rearrangement.
  • The upper front barrel of the GN Twin Beam Rifle can flip up.
  • The GN Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the front skirt armors as handheld weapons.
  • The GN Submachine Guns can be recreated in deployed modes via minor parts rearrangement.
  • Arios Gundam can mount onto the included display stand (or any Action Bases (sold separately)) via one of the two adapters depending on which mode you're displaying as.
  • The Arios Gundam can also dock with the HG00 GNR-101A GN Archer (Sold separately) with it's included adapter.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Painting related tips[]

  • The entire kit can be coated in clear pink paint (thinly diluted) to represent the Trans-Am-activated mode.

B-Club related customizations[]

  • High Detail Manipulators 185 and 191 can be used for this kit.

Italicized items are exclusives.

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.
