Articulation[]
- The head can tilt, rotate, and move forward/backward.
- Elbows and knees can be bent up to about 165 degrees.
- The torso can bend forward/backward via multiple joints.
- The model features a rotating hip joint allowing wider movement range for the legs.
Weapons & Other Gimmicks[]
- Mouth can be opened/closed.
- The Entry Plug can be inserted/removed through the unit's nape.
- Umbilical Cable can be attached/detached via a peg hole at the unit's back.
- Shoulder pylons can be opened/closed.
- The folded Progressive Knives can be stored in the shoulder pylons.
Variants[]
Tips & Tricks[]
- For better results, some details are needed to be applied with Gundam Markers or Mr. Color paints.
- If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
- Sticker decals (included) can be attached if the builder so chooses.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied decals.
- Alternate shoulder parts for the Unit 01 are included in the RG Evangelion Unit-00 (DX Positron Cannon Set) to recreate the 01's firing pose with the Positron Cannon in the source material.
- Attaching the decals on the Entry Plug may cause it to fit tightly on the Unit-01, which may make it difficult to remove later on.
- The builder has an option to use a single-colored antenna for the head, which can be made color-accurate using the provided stickers or by painting.
Notes & Trivia[]
- This item is released to conclude the premiere of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, which was released on 2021.
- Due to the construction of the arms, specifically as to how the upper arm parts are separated, some builders speculate that an "Awakened" variant may be released in the future.
