This is a limited edition item.

This Gunpla/Plamo is exclusively sold at events, bundled with Hobby Magazines/Video Games, released as a campaign prize, a gift from the Advanced Tickets purchased from Japanese cinemas, or a Standard-release limited item.
If one wants to obtain this kit via aftermarket options, take note that this Gunpla is likely to be sought by collectors due to its rarity, and may fetch over 10 times its original price many years after its initial release.

NOTE: Rarity & Price of the Gunpla merely varies.

For a more realistic finish, consider using the parts diagram and various images as references when painting.
This Gunpla/Plamo is molded in a single (or minimal) color and requires painting for the best results. Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color Paints are recommended, although water-based paints are safer.

The 1/144 Gundam SEED Model Series (NG SEED) GAT-X105 Strike Gundam (Deactive Mode) is a 1/144 scale kit released in 2003, as a magazine exclusive freebie.

Includes[]

  • Strike Gundam
  • Beam Rifle
  • Shield
  • Paper MS Cage

Kit Features & Gimmicks[]

Articulation[]

  • The head can swivel on a single ball-joint.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
    • Slightly raise horizontally on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • While the upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, they're hindered by the non-poseable skirt armors.
  • The ankles can pivot/tilt in a limited extent.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks[]

  • The Beam Rifle can be wielded by either of the hands, though the default position is on the right.
  • Shield can only attach onto the left arm.
  • Striker Packs from the HG Gundam SEED (and by extension, HGCE Aile Strike Gundam) and the 1/144 Gundam SEED Model Series line can attach to this Gunpla.
  • Strike Gundam can place inside the MS Cage.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • For better results, most of the details need to be applied & panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
    • If one wished to paint the kit, one must find matching colors to resemble the unit's deactivated mode.

Customizing-based tips[]

  • Several modifications can be made to slightly improve the kit's range of motion and/or ease of assembly after painting the separate parts:[1]
    • The rear section of the upper thigh sockets (pieces 8 and 10) can be sanded/carved to create more space, allowing for slightly improved horizontal leg articulation.
    • The upper areas of the arm shoulder sockets (pieces 1 and 2) can be shaved down to increase the horizontal arm articulation.
    • The grooves on the front of the hip joint pegs can be trimmed off to reduce potential breakage during posing.
    • The torso's (pieces 17 and 19) peg holes that connect the waist parts (pieces 15 and 16) can be trimmed into a C-shape to facilitate assembly if gluing and painting are preferred before final assembly.
      • The front peg hole on the waist hip section (piece 16) and the tabs on the rear skirt armor (piece 5) can be trimmed to allow the glued-together skirt armors to slide onto the hip from above.
